It's been just over two years since The Adult Teeth Recording Company was founded, and I thought it might be a good time to get together a 'best of' covering that period. The support you have given the musicians and the label itself has been fantastic and I'd like to say thanks on behalf of everyone involved.

The sampler is free to download, however there is an option to 'pay-what-you-like', much like Radiohead got away with that one time. Any donations are invested directly into new releases and supporting new local acts, so if you do wish to send some our way, you know it's going to the right places.

Lastly, if you like what you hear, you can hear more by all the acts via the Bandcamp shop page! Delicious.

As part of Cassette Store Day 2014, The Adult Teeth Recording Company is revisiting its first full-length release, the exceedingly well-received Time's Machines by ambient musician Mt. Judge.

Available for the first time on cassette, the release is strictly limited to 50 copies, but is also available digitally and on CD through Bandcamp.

We have chosen to reissue Time's Machines as the cassette format lends itself particularly well to the ambient sound. The gentle background hum of the tape adds a subtle warmth to this already beautiful piece of work.

We're very proud to be part of Cassette Store Day 2014, supporting independent record shops both in the UK and across Europe.

"The sounds and textures ... steadily build up in subtle complexities and rippling modulations" - Wake The Deaf

"Like the musical representation of the birth of life on Earth. 8/10" - Louder Than War

"Comprised of field recordings, ambient synths drones and - presumably - a whole heap of hash, listening to Mt Judge's Time's Machines feels like elegantly sinking to the bottom of the ocean." - The 405

MATTHEW HEDLEY STOPPARD & THE GLASS DELUSION: debut album 'Runt County' out now

"It comes across like the bastard lovechild of Gil Scott Heron and The Fall, and sounds just as good as you would imagine." Mad Mackerel

"Despite sporting a horse's head on the cover, Runt County is no one trick pony. Between them Matthew Hedley Stoppard and The Glass Delusion have sidestepped any accusations of drear worthiness and have created a richly rewarding album." Culture Vulture

A brand new project combined the words of Leeds-based poet Matthew Hedley Stoppard with music by Hull art-rockers The Glass Delusion. Think more John Cooper Clarke and The Fall than the poetry syllabus you grew bored with at school.

A full album of their collaborations, entitled Runt County, will be released on 1st Sept 2014, but you can stream/download the first single to be released from the album right here, right now.

LA BETE BLOOMS: new single 'Wishing I Could Kill' streaming now

Following suit from bands such as Eagulls and Orwells, Hull-based five piece La Bete Blooms prepare for a busy summer having spent the start of the year writing and recording, as well as supporting the likes of Jaws, Pins and Night Flowers.

The new single 'Wishing I Could Kill' continues with their dreamy aesthetic influenced by such bands as The Cure and The Pixies, and is available as a free download from Monday 7th July on Soundcloud, Spotify & iTunes, via The Adult Teeth Recording Company.

The track (recorded by John Spence at Hull's Fairview Studios) is to be followed up by the band's debut EP this October and is the final chapter in a string of beautifully subtle reverb drenched singles since the band's beginnings.

'Hull-based five-piece La Bete Blooms are managing to carve their own niche in an increasingly crowded revivalist movement. Synergising elements of fabled artists such as Slowdive, Pale Saints and even the Pixies, this young band occupy an all-too-rare position in recognising those touchstones, without ever actually 'borrowing' from them.' The Hull-based improvised electronic musician Phill Wilson is gearing up to release two debut solo albums (under different monikers - myonemanband and BLACKFACE) that can be enjoyed separately or played together for a unique surround-sound experience.

The new synchronised singles can be heard via Youtube - we invite listeners to use a separate device for each video in order to experience the music in a stereo setting (but if you are in a rush, just use one device and simply press play on both videos below). Adjusting volume levels and synchronisation is also suggested.

Phill Wilson has long been a live staple in the Northern English city of Hull, impressing crowds with his incredible ability to create textured, deep electronic music on-the-fly, with a variety of instruments, iPads and looping devices. He also regularly updates his YouTube channel with one-off live improvisations, creating a healthy following of devoted music fans.

He has split his talents into two projects for his debut releases - myonemanband is Phill's improvised electronica output (and the name he uses when performing) and BLACKFACE is the name he gives to his ambient, dronescape project.

Phill lists among his influences: the pianos of Ryuichi Sakamoto, the instrumentation of Four Tet, the glitches of Aphex Twin, the song structures of Dan Deacon and the theories and dress sense of Brian Eno.

The debut albums will be released on Feb 3rd, via The Adult Teeth Recording Company, and can be bought as a set with an Adult Teeth wraparound.
